Description
Hangzhou Ever-Power Sprocket Co., Ltd.
When your production line runs through a cleanroom, a USDA-inspected facility, or a daily caustic washdown cycle — the sprocket material is not a detail. It is the decision.
Why Hygiene-Critical Applications Demand Stainless Steel Sprockets
Carbon steel sprockets may seem adequate when new, but within weeks of entering a food or pharmaceutical production environment, micro-pitting and surface oxidation begin. Those rust particles — invisible to the eye but measurable in parts per million — migrate into product streams, accumulating in chain joints where lubricants trap them, and shedding onto conveyor surfaces during operation. A single contamination incident can trigger a regulatory shutdown worth far more than the cost difference between carbon and stainless. The Ever-Power #25 Stainless Steel Sprocket removes that failure mode from the equation entirely. Machined from certified 304 or 316 stainless steel bar stock, it brings corrosion immunity directly to the chain contact zone — where it is actually needed.

304 or 316 — Which Grade Does Your Process Need?
This is the most common question we receive from food and pharma engineers, and the answer depends on the specific chemicals your cleaning cycle uses rather than on general hygiene classifications. Both grades pass standard food-contact material requirements — the distinction lies in chloride exposure:
Resists alkali detergents, organic acids, steam, and most CIP cleaning agents. Ideal for dry goods conveyors, bakery equipment, and dairy lines using NaOH-based cleaning protocols. Lower cost than 316.
Adds 2–3% molybdenum to close the chloride pitting vulnerability of 304. Specify 316 for seafood processing, meat packing lines using hypochlorite sanitizers, citrus or vinegar processing, and any marine application with salt-spray exposure.
Technical Specifications
Every #25 stainless sprocket is dimensioned to ANSI B29.1 — the same standard used by Martin, Tsubaki, and Rexnord. That means pitch-perfect drop-in replacement with no shimming or shaft modification. Chain pitch 6.35 mm (1/4″), roller diameter 3.30 mm, inner width 3.18 mm.
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Chain Standard | ANSI 25 (ANSI B29.1) |
| Pitch | 6.35 mm (1/4″) |
| Roller Dia. | 3.30 mm |
| Material | 304 SS / 316 SS (selectable) |
| Tooth Range | 9T – 72T |
| Hub Options | Plain bore / Finished bore + keyway / Taper-lock |
| Surface Finish | Ra ≤ 1.6 µm (mechanical polish); EP optional |
| Compliance | ANSI B29.1, ISO 9001:2015 |
Where the #25 Stainless Sprocket Is Deployed
The compact 1/4-inch pitch makes the #25 family the standard choice for precision, lighter-load chain drives where any contamination of the product stream is unacceptable. Below are the most common sectors and what typically drives the stainless specification in each.
| Sector | Typical Drive | Regulatory Driver |
|---|---|---|
| Food & Beverage | Bottle conveyor, indexing table | USDA / FDA 21 CFR |
| Pharmaceutical | Blister-pack transfer, tablet coating | GMP / EHEDG |
| Marine / Offshore | Deck handling, anchor tensioner | Salt-air corrosion prevention |
| Electronics Assembly | SMT conveyor, PCB handling | Non-magnetic, particle-free |

From Billet to Boxed: Our Production Flow
Quality in a stainless sprocket is built in at every step — not inspected in at the end. Here is how each #25 SS sprocket is made in our Hangzhou facility:
Companion Components for a Complete SS Drive
A stainless steel sprocket performs best when paired with stainless chain — mixing SS sprockets with carbon steel chain in a wet environment invites galvanic corrosion at the contact interface. We supply the full component set:

- ANSI 25 SS Roller Chain — 304 and 316 grades, per-foot or 10 ft lengths
- SS Master Links — spring-clip and cottered pin types
- Idler Sprockets — plain-bore SS idlers for tensioning duties
- Shaft Keys (DIN 6885) — A2-70 stainless, pre-cut to bore keyway dimensions
- Taper-Lock Bushing Sets — for quick shaft removal without disturbing the chain
What Customers Say
“Replaced Martin carbon sprockets on our crab-processing line with Ever-Power 316 SS units. Six months of twice-daily hypochlorite washdowns — zero corrosion, chain wear is negligible. Dimensional accuracy was spot-on, dropped straight in.”
“We source #25 SS sprockets for pharmaceutical tablet-press transfer conveyors. Ever-Power ships with full material certs, on time, every time. Surface finish on the bore is clean — no fretting on the shaft.”
“Good quality at a competitive price point. Custom bore came back in 11 days. Would benefit from a faster emergency-stock option for common tooth counts — but the quality justifies planning ahead.”
