#50 roestvrijstalen tandwiel | ANSI 50 SS aandrijftandwiel

Precision ANSI 50 stainless steel sprocket (5/8″ pitch) in 304 or 316 SS — a direct-fit alternative to Rexnord, Tsubaki, and Renold standard-pitch sprockets for medium-heavy conveyor, packaging, and washdown-intensive drive applications.

ANSI 50 stainless steel sprockets — medium-heavy pitch drives that resist rust, chemicals, and corrosion without compromise.

Productoverzicht

De Ever-Power #50 roestvrijstalen tandwiel operates on ANSI 50 roller chain with a 15.875 mm (5/8″) pitch — a size that occupies the practical sweet spot between the ubiquitous #40 and the heavier #60. It handles meaningfully more torque than a #40 drive without the added weight and cost of #60 hardware, making it popular in high-throughput packaging lines, cannery conveyors, industrial washing machines, and agricultural seed-processing equipment. Machined in our Hangzhou plant to ANSI B29.1 class A tolerances from certified 304 or 316 stainless bar stock, each sprocket ships with a full dimensional check card and optional material test report.

Load Capacity and Speed Ratings

A correctly designed #50 chain drive can handle significantly higher loads than an #40 system at comparable speeds — typically 1.4–1.6× greater allowable tension due to the larger roller and pin dimensions. This makes the #50 pitch valuable whenever a #40 drive is approaching its power limit but a full step up to #60 hardware seems disproportionate. The stainless steel version maintains the same load ratings as carbon steel for static and low-speed dynamic loads; at very high speeds, the slightly lower tensile strength of annealed 304/316 versus heat-treated carbon steel should be accounted for in the drive design. Our engineering team can provide power transmission calculations on request when you supply drive speed, sprocket sizes, and centre distance.

Lubrication Recommendations

Even stainless steel systems benefit from lubrication at the chain-sprocket contact interface — it reduces heat generation and extends tooth face life. For food-grade applications, NSF H1-certified mineral oil or synthetic PTFE dry-film spray should be used. In washdown environments with frequent chain cleaning, select a food-grade anti-corrosion grease applied to the chain strand before each washdown cycle. Avoid petroleum-based lubricants in food contact zones; they are difficult to wash off completely and may fail regulatory inspection.

Where #50 Stainless Sprockets Excel

Applications that push an #40 system to its limits while not yet requiring the bulk of an #60 system are the natural home for this pitch. Stainless steel roller chain sprockets in the #50 range are routinely found in cannery conveyor drives, industrial dishwasher and tunnel-washer chains, high-volume bakery product transfer, agricultural seed cleaning lines, and swimming-pool chemical dosing conveyors. In every one of these environments, the ability of stainless steel to withstand daily chemical cleaning is what justifies the modest cost premium over carbon steel alternatives.

Klantenrecensies

★★★★★

“Ever-Power #50 SS sprockets replaced our Rexnord units in a canning line. Performance is identical at a significant cost saving. The material certs they provided satisfied our food-safety auditor without question.”

— Productie-ingenieur, conservenfabriek, Zuid-Korea

★★★★★

“We order 316 SS #50 sprockets for our tunnel washer drives annually. Consistent quality, tight tolerances, and fast shipping. The bore finish is clean — keyways come ready to use.”

— Fleet Maintenance Supervisor, Commercial Laundry, UAE

★★★★☆

“Good sprockets and competitive pricing. Lead time was 10 days — acceptable. Would benefit from a stock range of the most common tooth counts for emergency replacement orders.”

— Onderhoudsmanager, zaadverwerking, Australië

Veelgestelde vragen

1. Is #50 chain interchangeable with #50H (heavy series)? +
#50 and #50H share the same pitch and outer plate dimensions, so they fit the same sprocket. The difference is in the chain components themselves — #50H uses thicker plates and a heavier roller for higher loads. Our standard sprockets run both #50 and #50H chain without modification.
2. Can the bore be enlarged after purchase? +
Yes, but we strongly recommend ordering the correct finished bore from us to avoid post-machining cost. If you need to bore out to a larger diameter, ensure the minimum wall thickness between bore and root circle is maintained per ANSI guidelines. Contact us with your shaft diameter and we’ll confirm the maximum bore for your tooth count.
3. Do you offer split sprockets for #50 chain in stainless? +
Yes. Split (two-piece) #50 SS sprockets are available for applications where shaft removal would be required for one-piece sprocket installation. These are custom-machined; please provide tooth count, bore size, and hub length requirement.
4. What surface treatment options are available? +
Options include: as-machined (Ra ≤ 3.2 µm), mechanical polishing (Ra ≤ 1.6 µm), electropolishing (Ra ≤ 0.8 µm, adds corrosion resistance), and passivation per ASTM A967. Specify your preference in the order notes.
5. How should I store stainless steel sprockets before installation? +
Store in a dry, clean area. While stainless is highly corrosion resistant, surface contamination with free iron (from contact with carbon steel storage racks, for example) can initiate rust spots. Keep sprockets in their original VCI packaging or in a stainless or plastic storage tray until ready for installation.
